 CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT

 | | There are a number of words that people like to use when they talk about building a house. It's usually "a big undertaking" or "a huge commitment." Some feel "stressed out" or that the process is "nerve-wracking."
But, Steve and Chris Manfredi have a different word in mind that describes their home-building experience. "It was fun! It was really an enjoyable process," says Steve. "In those early meetings we would sit around a big table and look at raw plans for the house and we would all share ideas. We were really kind of surprised at how great and smooth it was."
Having met Dan Sater through their builder Wyman Stokes, the Manfredis began the design process with a phone call from Dan—while he was walking through the empty lot where their house would be built. Dan used that initial conversation with the couple to run through a number of lifestyle questions and find out what they valued most in their home. "He asked us questions such as 'where do you plan to spend the greatest amount of time?' and 'what rooms are the most important to you to capture the water view?'" says Steve. The answers to those questions were then translated into hand-sketched drawings and, in time, a custom floor plan. "Pretty much right from the beginning he was able to nail exactly what we wanted in our home," says Steve. |
Entry foyer A striking, curved balcony, stone columns and custom-designed marble floor greet friends and family into the Manfredi home. An interesting contrast in ceiling heights allows for a grand first impression in the foyer and a more intimate feel in the formal living and dining rooms.

While their home certainly has grand aspects to it, the comment that Chris often hears from her guests is what a warm and inviting feeling the rooms provide. "The warmth is in the fabric, colors and the furniture that [our interior designer] chose." In fact, the Manfredis credit their designer Jett Segal—and the close working relationship she shares with Dan and Wyman Stokes—with having much to do with their level of satisfaction in the completed home. "The team worked so well together. They were interested in our comments and what our mission for the home was—and they were terrific at listening!" Chris says.
If "fun" is the word that the Manfredis use to describe their home building process, "love" is the one they use most often when they talk about living there. From the tile to the woodwork to the detailed ceiling, Steve and Chris' home has far surpassed their expectations, and they believe that all of the craftsmen who worked on the home deserve the credit for making it so. "This became exactly what we wanted," Chris says. "It's so satisfying – and we love it every bit as much as we dreamed we would."

| Leisure Room Seeking to maximize their outdoor living, the Manfredis chose a home design in which the leisure room’s pocket doors open to the lanai and waterfront areas. The high, beamed coffered ceiling and striking built-in entertainment center also serve as superb design details in this centerpiece room.
